A big welcome to all of my lovely followers and visitors to my little space in the crafting world of blogland! I love colouring, drool over every embellishment and love to 'look' at papers (never mind using them) - some are just TOO good to use lol. I hope you enjoy your little wander through my creative world and would love to feel that I may have inspired some of you in some small way. Happy Crafting to you all and I hope you will stop by again soon!

A Flittery, Fluttery, Flowery Fest

Hey Everyone! How are you all?  Hope you're all keeping happy & well.  It's been pretty rain drenched AGAIN in my little part of the UK today, so my little boy & I have been doing a spot of crafting together ..... lots of chattering, colouring, gluing and making LOADS of mess in my craft room!!  Love it :)

Today I'm sharing a little gift bag, which I bought from The Range and which I prettied up using the most beautiful little elf fairy, Shaylee.  She is another one of the gorgeous digital images created by the super talented Mi Ran.  You can find loads of inspiration on her blog, art by miran, and she has also started up a brand new challenge page which is holding a DT Call.

I coloured up this little beauty, along with the background, with Copics.  I think it's only fair that I don't list the colours as I would be here all day ...... I used loads lol.

A little close up for you all ...... hasn't she got the most exquisite little face?! Her beautiful wings have been coloured with copics and a liberal amount of glitter added to make them super sparkly :)  It's been a while since I attempted sky, but hey, at least it's a blue one (unlike ours today).  I added some Fluffy Stuff from Joanna Sheen for the clouds! It's fabulous!! You pop it where you want, heat emboss it and it fluffs up!!

The papers are a mixture of Maja Design & LOTV.  I distressed the edges of both, along with the image, and matted onto cheesecloth to add more texture.  My floral display is using a mixture of flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and the Hobby House.  The Maja Design paper, berries & cheesecloth are all from Live & Love Crafts.  The butterfly spray die is a Signature Die by Joanna Sheen.  I have to say, these dies are amazing and cut so beautifully!  I die-cut it three times; one for the bottom layer, again to add a 3D effect onto the spray of each individual butterfly and lastly to add the little flutterings around the card.  I frantaged them all to add more texture & sparkle.

A little side view of my fluffy clouds and frantaged, 3D butterflies :)

I'd love to enter into the following:

CMC Challenge #85 - Texturize It
Craftitude #57 - AG/I See Fluffy (my clouds :) )
Cut It Up #37 - Through The Woods
Emerald Faeries Challenge #51 - Things with Wings
Make It Monday #176 - Linky Party
Sketchy Colors #195 - Colour Challenge
Winter Wonderland - Butterflies

Well, that's me done for today ....... apart from tidying the tip left over in the craft room :/
I hope you like my little creation and thank you all so much for stopping by!

Cat Girl

Hello again! I'm back with my second post of the day!  Ooh! Not often that happens on this little ole blog LOL.

This is a card I've made just for the fun of it and have been colouring up on and off over the past week!  I finally popped this adorable, sassy image onto card last night and am pretty pleased with my little version of the very beautiful Cat Girl digital stamp created by the extremely talented Mi Ran of Artbymiran.

Here she is in her glory .... hope you likey too :)

As some of you may already know, my fave colour is purple and I have a little obsession with purple hair!  However, for a change, I decided to colour this little minx' hair in shades of blue! What d'ya think?  I think she looks pretty cool (excuse the pun ... hehe! )

Cat Girl is coloured with Copics in the following:
Skin Tones : E000, E00, E11, R11
Blue Tones:  B91, B93, B95, B97, B99
Grey Tones:  Co, C1, C3, C5, C7

Her 'fur' collar has had a generous amount of glittering too!

The gorgeous papers are Petal Fresh from LOTV, which I matted onto blue plain pearl cardstock from my stash.  I added some faux stitching around the edges in white gelly roll pen.  I did add some gorgeous lace underneath my Cat Girl matting, although, you can't actually see it now as my flowers & bow at the bottom have practically covered the whole thing up .... doh!

I used my new Bunting Signature Die from Joanna Sheen and added a couple of pearls at the top of each banner.  This is the first die I have bought from this range and definitely won't be the last - they are so beautiful and cut perfectly!  The flowers are from the Hobby House & Wild Orchid Crafts, the berries are from Live & Love Crafts and the gorgeous white ribbon (which I made into a bow) and the metal blossom spacer are also from the Hobby House.

A little reminder whilst I'm here ..... our theme over at the Hobby House Challenge this month is ribbon! We love seeing what you create and hope you're able to join in the fun this time for a chance to win a fabulous prize!

The winner of the challenge will receive a fabulous £15 voucher to spend in the Scribble & Scrap Shop, however, should the winner have used a Scribble & Scrap product, the voucher will be raised to a whopping £20!!!!  Also, our Top 3 each receive a £5 voucher.  How cool is that?  To be in with a chance of winning a fab prize, please check out the RULES as we really wouldn't want you to miss out!

My card today is using this adorable little 'Tea Party' pic from Vintage Photo Sheet 1.  I absolutely love these sheets as you get six beautiful vintage photos per sheet to choose from and there are soooo many sheets in the shop - definitely spoilt for choice!
I printed this beautiful image and layered onto the gorgeous polka dot papers from my Papermania Capsule Collection - Bexley Black.  To add a bit of colour, I matted the papers onto some plum cardstock from my stash.  I die-cut the corner flourishes using my Xcut Large Dies - Leafy Flourish, adding a bit of bling to the bottom flourish.  Of course, it wouldn't be a tea party without a little tea cup - so I popped on a cute tea cup charm within my little flower display :)

A little close up of this adorable image!

Flowers & Metal Filigree Corners from Wild Orchid Crafts

Valentine Girl - Artbymiran

Good Morning to you all on this extremely wet & windy Thursday morning!  Nothing unusual for any of us here in the UK at the moment eh?

This morning I'm sharing a beautiful image, which I came across for the very first time at the weekend.  It is by Mi Ran of Artbymiran and, honestly, I was sooooo excited to browse through her fabulous artwork and didn't know which one to choose first!  Mi Ran has a GRAND OPENING on her blog HERE where she is also offering a giveaway contest and free image.  You can also click on my link at the side, which will take you straight there.  Either way, you seriously don't want to miss out on these fabulous, new images!

After much debating, I chose this very elegant Valentine Girl to create with and I'm so pleased with how she turned out.  Apologies in advance though ..... this is a picture heavy post! LOL.
I chose to decorate my heart trinket box, which I bought from The Range just after Christmas.  I adore these boxes and have so much fun prettying them up :)
I coloured this little beauty with Copics:
Skin:  E000, E00, E11   Hair:  E13, E35, E50, E51
Dress:   G21, G94, G99   Rose:  R11, R20, RV42, E50, E51
The papers used are from Lili of the Valley and are called The Antebellum.

Hobby House DT Inspiration ~ Ribbons

A very good morning to you all ..... can you believe it's mid-week already?

It's my turn for a bit of inspiration at the Hobby House today and, for this month's Challenge our theme is RIBBON and we've been extremely lucky ladies to have been sent lots of gorgeous, lush ribbon to play with!

The challenge asks that you use ribbon on your project, however, there must be at least ONE HOBBY HOUSE item on your project also.  Whichever item/s you choose to use we just ask that you list what it is and link back to the website.

Here's my little card for today ...

I absolutely adore the colours of these ribbons - so fresh and clean!  The ribbons are an assortment of textures from grosgrain to satin with velvet in between.  I die-cut a plain circle card mat and worked my way from the outside in by cutting approx 2" ribbon strips, folding each one and attaching to form the layers.  I added the bling and centre piece to complete my little ribbon flower.

A little close up of those beautiful colours & all of the lovely textures.

Items used from the Hobby House :

I do hope you like my little bit of inspiration today and hope that you'll be able to join us in our Challenge this month.  We cannot wait to see what you create using your Hobby House supplies.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
Big hugs,

It's Exhausting Being Cute!

Morning Everyone! Hope you all had a fab weekend!  I know that, for some of you, it's the first day back at work today ....... it's a chore isn't it! LOL.  I had to drag myself back there last Thursday, but at least I got to break in gently I guess, being the end of the week and all.  My little one is not best pleased that he's back at school today either! We've had such a fabulous break and reality bites a bit at times, but I'm sure we'll all get back into the swing of it again before you know it :)

Creative Creations Challenges is up and running today and, for now, it's going to be a Just For Fun challenge.  The theme for this next fortnight is ANYTHING GOES!

As there isn't a sponsor with a JFF challenge, we have been given a free reign in what we can create with and I have chosen this gorgeous image from Kith & Kin and this li'l lady is called Ella Head .....

Isn't she a little cutie?
I coloured her up with Copics using E000, E00, E11 for skin and V000, V12, V15, V17 for hair.

I fussy cut around her and rested little Ella on black cardstock, which I punched and glittered on the bottom edge.

The adorable sentiment is from Create with TLC, which was a fabulous freebie a little while back.  I thought it was a perfect match for this cutie.  I die-cut, glittered and adhered the sentiment with the edges flat and raised middle to give a bit of depth.  The gorgeous blooms are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the silver berries and lilac pearl string are both from Live and Love Crafts.

I hope you'll come & join in the fun at Creative Creations Challenges and, as it's Anything Goes, why wait?
We so look forward to seeing what you create!

I'd like to enter little Ella into the following:

As You Like It Challenge - Favourite Colour and Why (I am in love with any shade of purple from warm plum tones to fresh lilac tones - my definite go to colour, whether for creating or decorating my home)

Polkadoodles and Studio 12 - Week 1 - Anything Goes

Scribble & Scrap Challenge #9

Morning Everyone! Hope you're all keeping well and warm in this miserable, wet weather we seem to be inundated with! Roll on Spring I say ....... with the hope of getting a bit of blue skies and that big yellow thing! Can't remember what it's called, but I'm sure it'll come back to me ;)

Well, today is the start of Challenge 9 at Scribble & Scrap and, as always, it's
ANYTHING GOES!!

The winner of the challenge will receive a fabulous £15 voucher to spend in the Scribble & Scrap Shop, however, should the winner have used a Scribble & Scrap product, the voucher will be raised to an even more fabulous £20.  Also, as from today, our Top 3 will each receive a £5 voucher.  How fantastic is that!  To be in with a chance of winning the fab prizes, please check out the RULES to make sure you don't miss out!

My card today is (shock, horror!) a masculine one!!! I don't do many of these as I really struggle with the embellishment side of it all LOL.  I do love to over embellish things, but I'm don't think there are many men who would appreciate a flowery, glittery, fancy filled card .... or, if there are, they don't let on ;)  Anyway, I couldn't resist making one with the fun new images that have arrived in abundance in the shop - aptly named THE PUGLIES!

Introducing Charles ....

.... and what a handsome chap he is too!!

I coloured him up with Copics to match my new bargain 12" x 12" papers, which were on sale in The Range.  They are from the Papermania Christmas in the Country pad, and, although there are a few with Christmas designs, the majority of the pad is definitely usable for any other time of year.  I made the tartan 'football' to mat Charles onto by using my Xcut Hexagon dies and fitting them all nicely together, with a little chop here and there around the edges.

Well, I hope you like my attempt at masculine and would urge you to pop over to the Challenge to see what fabulous and fun creations my teamies have come up with this time.  We certainly can't wait to see what you create!

I would like to enter Charles into the following:

Sweet Stampin' Challenge - Sports and Fitness
The Stamping Boutique - #1 - Use 3 Designer Papers
