Hobby House Art Book Inspiration

Good Morning lovely peeps!

Today is my turn to share a little bit of inspiration over at the Hobby House Blog and, for the beautiful month of June, (taking no notice of the rubbish weather) myself and my fabulous DTeamies will be showcasing our little makes using the fabulous NEW Elisabeth Bell Art Books.

I absolutely love these little gems as the beautiful images are all cut and ready for you to colour up and create with!  Another thing, the cardstock is brilliant to colour onto!! :)

My first inspirational piece is using an image from the Summer Sweetness Art Book
I coloured this gorgeous girly with Copics in the following:
Dress:  B000, B00, B02, B05
Blouse:  YR00, YR02, YR61
Skin:  E000, E00, E11
Hair/Shoes/Brown Trim:  E31, E33, E35, E37, E51

I inked around the image to give it a softer edge and to blend in with the papers, which are Bear Necessities from LOTV.  The butterfly edge die is from Joy Crafts, the small individual butterflies are a Signature Die and the scalloped circle die is from Sizzix.
The beautiful embellishments, from the flowers to the pearls and pearl string can all be found at the HOBBY HOUSE.
Isn't she just a beautiful image?

I hope you like my piece of inspiration today and hope you'll pop by the Hobby House Blog tomorrow for more inspiration on these ready to colour art books.

Thanks so much for popping by!

Hobby House Inspiration - New Toppers

Hi Everyone - hope you're all keeping well.

It's my turn for a little inspiration today at the Hobby House and, as we have been showcasing the fabulous new toppers this month by Kenny K, Elisabeth Bell and Wee Stamps for our April Challenge, I have kept within the theme of New Toppers and thought I'd share with you this little box I decorated using the adorable Summer Splash toppers by Elisabeth Bell.

How cute is this little lad happily at play with his bucket and spade?
The papers are from Bearly Mine Designs called Patchwork Party.  A list of the fabulous Hobby House embellishments I used can be found HERE

The topper sets have three different designs to play with.  I recently blogged a card HERE using another design from the set and thought I'd share the whole set, which includes a cute door hanger I created using the third design.

I hope you like my little piece of inspiration today and thank you so much for stopping by.
Big hugs xx

Hobby House Inspiration

Hi Everyone! Hope you all had a fantastic weekend!

It's my turn for a little inspiration today over at the Hobby House and I chose to use this beautiful new topper from the Elisabeth Bell range called April Showers.  I actually made this card back in February when we were having nothing but rain, rain and more rain LOL.  Also, I was super chuffed to have my little creation aired on Create & Craft, along with a couple more of my creations, and my little boy was in awe that my card was on TV .... although he was a little less pleased to see that, after showing it, they 'squashed' it (his words) with another card ...... hee hee, bless him :)

These new toppers are just so gorgeous and so easy to create with.  I used the 8" x 8" Country Lady papers by Lili of the Valley, which co-ordinated perfectly with this topper, and only changed the topper slightly by adding a little ivory chalk over it.  The butterflies are from my Joanna Sheen Signature die.  You can find a list of all of the fabulous Hobby House products I used listed separately HERE.  The green ribbon was originally white and I coloured with Copics to co-ordinate with the image.

It's the start of our April Challenge tomorrow so make sure you head on over to see what our theme will be for the next month and for your chance to win some delicious Hobby House goodies!

Thanks so much for popping by today and I hope you can join us throughout April with your beautiful creations.

Big hugs xx

Hobby House Midway Challenge Reminder - Buttons

Good Morning Everyone! Hope you've all had a fabulous week - can you believe it's the weekend again already? Yay!!!!!

It's our midway reminder for the Hobby House Challenge today and our theme is
BUTTONS
Please remember to use at least ONE Hobby House product and mention in your post the product you've used.

As always, our winner will receive this WHOPPING prize!

I decided to dress up a tag for my midway inspiration and had a lot of fun with it!

This was so easy peasy to put together as the gorgeous topper, papers, ribbon, doily, and wording all come together in the Wee Sweet Blossom Cardmaking Kit (with loads more besides).  An amazing kit where everything co-ordinates so beautifully!  A beautiful pearl flourish pack also comes in the set, however, the one I used for this little tag can be found here.  I inked the topper and words with chalk and die cut the little butterflies using my Butterflies and Dragonfly Signature Die.

I had fun playing with these gorgeous buttons, which are part of the fabby HH Embellishment Set - Wedding Day and added individual adhesive pearls on top of each button.

I hope you'll join us for the remaining half of our challenge - you have until 29th March to enter so there's still plenty of time to get your fab creations in!
We so look forward to seeing what you create this time!

Thanks so much for popping along here today and your visits and kind comments are so very much appreciated!

Hobby House Inspiration - Buttons

Hiya everyone and a Happy Wednesday to all :)  This week is literally flying by ..... soon be the weekend again! Woohoo!!

It's my day for a little bit of inspiration over at the Hobby House and, as our Challenge this month is BUTTONS I thought I'd make a little 'button tree' card.

(I must apologise for the poor quality of the pic and I'll blame the lack of sunlight and too much rain)

I stamped my Kanban tree onto plain cardstock and matted and layered onto card from my stash.  I popped a button over each of the 'flowers' on the tree stamp with hot glue to make sure they stuck!  I've heard of falling leaves but didn't fancy the idea of falling buttons!! I cut two 6" lengths of lace in half to decorate the outer edge of the card and added gorgeous pearl string onto the inner layer.

To say I don't use buttons an awful lot on my projects, I actually had a load of fun with these and will make more of an effort to use them a bit more now :)

You can find a list of all of the gorgeous Hobby House products I have used on my card listed separately HERE on the Hobby House Blog.

I hope you will join us in our challenge this month.  Please remember your creation must fit in with our button theme and have at least one Hobby House product on it (please list what it is)
We look forward to seeing your fabulous creations this month!

Thanks so much for popping by today!  Take Care and Happy Crafting!

Hobby House Inspiration

Morning Everyone! Hope you're all well and keeping wrapped up in this awful weather .....

It's my time again for a little bit of inspiration over at the Hobby House and, as our Challenge this month is ANYTHING GOES I thought I'd have a little play with one of these cute little Treat Bags.

I didn't really have a clue what I was doing, as it's the first time I've attempted one, but I'm pretty pleased with how it's turned out ....
Whilst I was making this, I didn't really know what kind of 'treats' I was going to fill it with.  Then ... I had a little brainstorm!  You know those gorgeous boxes of chocs we are sometimes lucky enough to get given from Santa?  Well, I love most of the chocs inside the boxes, but some aren't particularly to my taste and always tend to get left ....... looking lost and lonely and wondering if they'll ever get eaten! Why not share as another gift?!  Waste Not, Want Not!! Okay, so it's a second hand kinda gift, but at least they'd get eaten LOL.

I made a little box for the treat bag to sit it and added an edge die & some beautiful pearl string.  I inked the topper for a creamy look and added some little faux stitching around the edge.    The gorgeous papers are Tilly Daydream by Docrafts.
You get a sentiment sheet with the papers so I cut this one out and popped it on - it looks a little wonky in the pic, but I promise it wasn't when I put it on LOL.
All of the delicious embellishments are from the Hobby House and are listed individually HERE on the Hobby House Blog.

I hope you like my little creation today and that it inspires you to send a little gift in a bag to someone special ... or, at least to palm your unwanted choccies off to :)  Don't forget our CURRENT CHALLENGE is Anything Goes and we hope you'll join us this month.

I'd like to enter into the following:

You can create anything you like, but we would ask that you use at least ONE Hobby House product and tell us what it is.

As always, our winner will receive a fabulous prize of

I chose to decorate another little bag ..... loving doing these, they're so much fun :)

Of course, February is the month of LOVE and so I thought I'd create using the adorable Wee Stamps - Peggy & Friends topper.  I distressed the edges of the topper and inked it up a little.  The purple backing paper is Maja Design and the sentiment I created on my PC, printed out and coloured the 'Love' with my Copics.  I thought it was quite apt for this adorable, happy little pair!

My little 'Love Bag' is dripping with gorgeous Hobby House products - I still pinch myself that I'm so very lucky to be on the DT.  They're products are of such a high quality and so beautiful to use!

Embellishments used on my little bag are:
HH Lace

Cat Girl

Hello again! I'm back with my second post of the day!  Ooh! Not often that happens on this little ole blog LOL.

This is a card I've made just for the fun of it and have been colouring up on and off over the past week!  I finally popped this adorable, sassy image onto card last night and am pretty pleased with my little version of the very beautiful Cat Girl digital stamp created by the extremely talented Mi Ran of Artbymiran.

Here she is in her glory .... hope you likey too :)

As some of you may already know, my fave colour is purple and I have a little obsession with purple hair!  However, for a change, I decided to colour this little minx' hair in shades of blue! What d'ya think?  I think she looks pretty cool (excuse the pun ... hehe! )

Cat Girl is coloured with Copics in the following:
Skin Tones : E000, E00, E11, R11
Blue Tones:  B91, B93, B95, B97, B99
Grey Tones:  Co, C1, C3, C5, C7

Her 'fur' collar has had a generous amount of glittering too!

The gorgeous papers are Petal Fresh from LOTV, which I matted onto blue plain pearl cardstock from my stash.  I added some faux stitching around the edges in white gelly roll pen.  I did add some gorgeous lace underneath my Cat Girl matting, although, you can't actually see it now as my flowers & bow at the bottom have practically covered the whole thing up .... doh!

I used my new Bunting Signature Die from Joanna Sheen and added a couple of pearls at the top of each banner.  This is the first die I have bought from this range and definitely won't be the last - they are so beautiful and cut perfectly!  The flowers are from the Hobby House & Wild Orchid Crafts, the berries are from Live & Love Crafts and the gorgeous white ribbon (which I made into a bow) and the metal blossom spacer are also from the Hobby House.

A little reminder whilst I'm here ..... our theme over at the Hobby House Challenge this month is ribbon! We love seeing what you create and hope you're able to join in the fun this time for a chance to win a fabulous prize!

Hobby House DT Inspiration ~ Ribbons

A very good morning to you all ..... can you believe it's mid-week already?

It's my turn for a bit of inspiration at the Hobby House today and, for this month's Challenge our theme is RIBBON and we've been extremely lucky ladies to have been sent lots of gorgeous, lush ribbon to play with!

The challenge asks that you use ribbon on your project, however, there must be at least ONE HOBBY HOUSE item on your project also.  Whichever item/s you choose to use we just ask that you list what it is and link back to the website.

Here's my little card for today ...

I absolutely adore the colours of these ribbons - so fresh and clean!  The ribbons are an assortment of textures from grosgrain to satin with velvet in between.  I die-cut a plain circle card mat and worked my way from the outside in by cutting approx 2" ribbon strips, folding each one and attaching to form the layers.  I added the bling and centre piece to complete my little ribbon flower.

A little close up of those beautiful colours & all of the lovely textures.

Items used from the Hobby House :

I do hope you like my little bit of inspiration today and hope that you'll be able to join us in our Challenge this month.  We cannot wait to see what you create using your Hobby House supplies.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
Big hugs,

The Hobby House 'Pearls' Inspiration

A very good Monday to you all - hope you're all keeping well and raring to go for the start of a new week!

Today I'm sharing with you my inspiration piece for the Hobby House.  I'm really loving the gorgeous array of die-cut toppers available in the store and these little love birds are no exception! How adorable are they?!

I cut the topper into an arch to fit underneath the Tim Holtz birdcage die, which I frantaged and adhered with 3D foam.  I pushed the cage forward and cut out an opening at the front so that we can all get to see the cute little guys inside!  The background paper is so beautiful to work with and compliments this little duo just perfectly!

My recipe for this little card is:
Tim Holtz Birdcage Die

I hope I've inspired you a little today and don't forget, you still have time to enter our Challenge this month which is showcasing pearls!  We'd love to see you over there!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

The Hobby House Challenge #6 - Pearls

Good Morning Everyone! Hope you're all healthy, happy & raring to go for our November challenge at the Hobby House!

This month we'd like to see PEARLS on your wonderful creations!  How awesome is this challenge!  The DT have had a ball with this one as I think we're all a bit partial to pearls - hey, who wouldn't be?

There is a slight change to the RULES in that you must now use at least one item from the Hobby House and this needs to be mentioned in your post!

As always, our winner will receive a HUGE

(postage paid by winner)

My card today features a beautiful image from a Wee Stamps Topper Set called 'Love Me Do'.  I cut the topper into an arch and edged with Pearl String.  The Hobby House stock the most beautiful card and I used a mixture of Spring Hearts and Spring Damask to mat my topper onto! This card is 250gsm and is so beautiful to work with.
The die cut branches are randomly cut from a Marianne Designs die, which I then added little pearl adhesive hearts, which are available in 6mm and 8mm sizes.  I made my little floral arch using the gorgeous Mulberry Roses, which come in a variety of colours and sizes.
For the bottom of my card I adhered the beautiful lace and added some gorgeous Self Adhesive Pearl Ornate Flourishes, with a few of the 5mm self adhesive pearls popped onto the bottom corners ... and there you have it! My pearlicious card has been well & truly pearlised LOL.

I really hope you can join us in this month's challenge and cannot wait to see what you create!

I'd like to enter into the following:
