I hope you enjoy your little wander through my creative world and would love to feel that I may have inspired some of you in some small way. Happy Crafting to you all and I hope you will stop by again soon!

Tiddly Eeeeeeeeks!!

Hi lovely peeps! I cannot believe it's been almost a week since I last blogged - Oopsie! This week has literally flown by - not sure where it went but it certainly isn't here now but hey, the weekend is upon us ..... yay!!! Oh, I do love the weekends! No work! No school! Just FAMILY free-time to spend how we wish :)

During this last whirlwind of a week I did manage to make up a card!  My FIRST EVER HALLOWEEN card!  That's a bit scary in itself!  Here's the little spookster in her full glory :)

This little beauty is called Sugar Angel and is one of a fantastic array of digital stamps over at Tiddly Inks.  I coloured her up with my old faithful promarkers in very daring purple and orange and added a green misty background for effect!  The spider web design was a fab freebie download from Crafticious - also kindly included in the freebie offers are skulls, bones and spooky eyes!

Because this is obviously a Halloween card, I didn't want to make it too pretty (although I do think Sugar Angel is a little doll) but I actually physically couldn't help myself from adding a bit of glitter and bling :)  I think her beautiful glitter bat wings finish her off perfectly and the googly little spider above her I coloured from a normal colouring page and cut him out (tricky isn't the word!!! - have you seen how skinny his little legs are???), then added a little bit of 3D glaze to make him pop out a bit!

The spooky tree is a silhouette sticker from Katy Sue designs. The little goofy bat was from a colouring page - cutting him out wasn't half as tricky as Mr Spider up there! Hehe!  The googly eye on my sentiment was one of the freebies from Crafticious - I made the sentiment up just to add a little humour to this otherwise terrifying, spookily freaky card!  Well, ok, I don't think it's terrifying at all but I do hope I've managed to convey my little spell:  A little bit of spooky, a handful of cuteness, a dash of glamour, finished with a little touch of humour :)

The challenges I would like to enter this card into are:

Thanks so much to all of you who pop by my blog and take a peek :) Have a fab rest of the day! Big hugs,

You and Me Baby!

Hey all! I’m back with another post ……. I’m kinda getting the hang of it now in a smallish kinda way!

Guess what though! There’s not a single, solitary candle in sight on this one (silently crying here) …… it was tough, but I held back!  That’s discipline for ya! ;o)

Anyhows, I had a wedding card to make and, previous to designing it, I noticed the newest challenge going on at Tiddly Inks so, I put my brain into gear and came up with this little design using the gorgeous ‘You and Me Baby’ couple from Tiddly Inks.

003

Aren’t they just an adorable little couple?  I can feel the love from here :)

I coloured the happy couple in promarkers and also the ivory background.  The beautiful background papers I got from my local craft store – I bought two sheets of 12” x 12” and actually wish I’d bought more!  The colour was a perfect salmon pink and, although you can’t really see it, the background has the word ‘LOVE’ written along it.  They were on her ‘bargain shelf’ so I reckon they’ll have been snatched up by now!!!  I tell you, that ‘local craft shop’ is probably a bit TOO local for my own good but, hey! Needs must!!!  :)

002

The flowers were again from Wild Orchid Crafts – I seriously can’t get enough of flowers ….. a bit like my candles ;) I used my Nellie heart die, glittered the edges and added three pearl pins from The Hobby House

I loved making this card! It’s such a clean, simple design but yet so elegant and, with the gorgeous little couple, you really can’t go wrong!

I shall be proudly entering this card into the following:

Hope you like my newest creation and thank you for taking a peek!

Happy Weekend Everyone!! Lots of hugs

Keeping the candle burning …………

Hiya all!  Today I thought I'd share my most recent make with you all - and I am super excited that my effort actually WORKED!!!

Today is my beautiful eldest daughter & son-in-law's wedding anniversary - I'm probably a bit biased, but I have to say they really do make a perfect couple :o)

A couple of days ago I was looking through Pop's Cards and was amazed at her tutorial for transferring images onto candles!  I went straight out, bought myself a couple of candles & practically ran home to begin my project!

006

I downloaded this adorable cave couple from Tiddly Inks, which also comes with lots of extras including a cave & background papers!  After colouring I attempted my transfer and ........ voila ......... it worked!!! :o) Yippee!!!  (I actually want to transfer EVERYTHING onto candles now!)

009

I did a simple card to co-ordinate with the candle.  The background papers on this card have been in my stash for absolute donkeys years ... (really sorry but I cannot for the life of me remember where I got them from) and the rocks are from part of the 'cave' extra.  I printed the sentiment from my computer then drew a bone & coloured.  A bone is also one of the extras that comes with these digi stamps but, as I wanted to insert the sentiment within it, I thought I'd just draw my own!  I'm sure there may be a way to add text into the digi image ............ I'm just not sure how yet! :o)

My daughter & son-in-law were chuffed to bits with my little creation .......... hope you like it too :o)

Thanks so much for dropping by today!
Big hugs, Tracey xx

Tiddly Inks Summer Challenge

Goodness me!! Nothing like leaving things 'til the last minute!!

Being the indecisive person that I am, I couldn't decide on which gorgeous image to use for the Tiddly Inks 'Summer' Challenge!  At first I thought I'd post my sepia couple card - but then thought maybe not as I wasn't sure it was summery enough!  Then I brightly coloured in another image - only to find it seemed a bit TOO bright for my liking!  At last, this afternoon, I decided on this little cutie - 'Fluttering by to say Hi'.  Phew!!!  Butterflies and flowers shout out 'SUMMER' to me and so I thought this would be perfect :)

009

I've coloured her in my favourite colour combo - turquoise & lilac - using promarkers & spectrum noirs.  The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the bow I made from netting, which I bought from my local fabric shop.

Unfortunately, the pic hasn't come out as clear as I would have liked (due to lack of daylight on finishing my little project) - serves me right for taking so long :)!!  I'm kinda liking the shadows which have been cast though - I can pretend the sun was shining hee hee!!

Well, I'm so sorry this is a not so detailed post, however, I'm super worried I'm going to be too late to enter the challenge by the time I've babbled on!

Hope you like & thank you so much for popping by!
Hugs

First Sepia Attempt

Good evening all!

Well, what a very exciting/hectic 24 hours we've just had!  We are the very proud owners of two bearded dragons, Max & Tilly who, incidentally, mated back in April!  Last month, Tilly's 11 eggs from her first clutch hatched - of which we are also the proud owners of - and her second clutch began hatching yesterday and all 10 of them are perfect and adorable :o) My eldest daughter & son-in-law have adopted the new batch!  Obviously, as they get older we will be finding suitable homes for them but, in the meantime, they are being nurtured and adored by us! Think I may find it a toughie when they finally have to 'spread their wings' so I am making the most of them whilst I have them :o)

Well, I just thought I'd share my first ever sepia attempt with you!  I got the adorable digi image from Tiddly Inks and, as the card was for a wedding with a brown/cream colour theme, thought I'd give the sepia a go!  I really enjoyed colouring this one up and creating different tones of browns for the embellishments using my inks, promarkers and card from my stash. I inked the doily & lace as they were originally white!  It was also the first time I have attempted distressing the edges of the papers! I didn't have a super duper tool to use - just scraped the edges of my scissors down the sides!  Probably not the greatest idea but, hey, it kinda worked ;o)

006 - Copy

The lace, heart doily and flowers were all from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Thank you so much for stopping by and I wish each and every one of you a fabulous weekend!
