A big welcome to all of my lovely followers and visitors to my little space in the crafting world of blogland! I love colouring, drool over every embellishment and love to 'look' at papers (never mind using them) - some are just TOO good to use lol. I hope you enjoy your little wander through my creative world and would love to feel that I may have inspired some of you in some small way. Happy Crafting to you all and I hope you will stop by again soon!

Creative Creations Challenges #20 - Sketch

Hey Everyone .... I'm back again! LOL!

It's challenge time again at Creative Creations Challenges and our theme for the next fortnight is to follow the sketch below:
Our sponsor this time is non other than the fabulous Kenny K who are offering a fantastic prize of 5 digis to our winner!

I've probably only ever followed about two sketches before and, honestly, I really should do it more as it's a whole load of fun and completely takes the headache out of wondering what to put where when that naughty crafter's block rears it's horrible little head!

I chose to use the very sultry Miss Fortune

I coloured this gorgeous girly with Copics and added a bit of glitter to her hair for an extra bit of dazzle ;)  The papers are pretty old (Dovecraft ... I think) but I love the fab hot pink & black together!  I popped holes down each side of my little handmade fishtail flag, threaded some beads I had hanging around to kind of replicate her corset and popped bright, hot pink brads through every other hole.

I hope you'll be able to join us this time and we look forward to seeing your wonderful take on our sketch.

Thanks for popping by today!
Happy Crafting and Big Hugs,

The Hobby House - Elisabeth Bell Topper Inspiration

Good Morning Everyone! Hope you're all well and that you've had a fabulous weekend!  I had an extremely quiet one, which is most unusual, so I made the most of it by catching up on some much needed 'me time'.

Today is my day to showcase my Inspirational Piece on The Hobby House Blog and, as I am totally in love with Elisabeth Bell's images, I thought I'd share with you all a card made using one of her fabulous pre-coloured toppers called Gingerbread Wishes.

Isn't this the most adorable image you ever did see?  I die-cut the topper into a circle to replicate the little baubles on the beautiful Maja Design Christmas papers and added the top 'bow' part using my Memory Box Precious Hearts die.

Onto my bow I added a brad, then frantaged a large blossom spacer and popped on top!

Card Ingredients:

I hope you like my little piece of inspiration today and a huge Thanks for taking the time to pop by :)

Big hugs,

Scribble & Scrap - Challenge #2

Morning Everyone!

It's time for Challenge 2 at Scribble & Scrap and, as always, the theme is
ANYTHING GOES!

You can create absolutely anything as long as it's hand crafted (no digital layouts permitted) and our Winner gets a fabulous £15 to spend in the Scribble & Scrap Store.  Please take a minute to read our Challenge Rules and then get those entries rolling in ..... we can't wait to see what you create!

For my card this time, I chose to use the gorgeous Vintage Steampunk Bird Cage

I just love how delicate this image is and I added just touches of colour to it to blend in with my fabby papers.  Okay, I know there isn't a bird in sight on my card, but there are plenty of pretty butterflies .... and they too have wings :)  I cut a few little random butterflies from a second sheet to make the little 3D effect.

I put a little chain of jump rings together and frantaged - a little tricky and sticky, but it worked.  My little charm bird cage at the bottom of the flower array, however, didn't work ..... you'll just have to trust me that it is, indeed, what I have just described and not just a blob of frantage LOL.

My little card recipe:
Flowers, Pearl Medallions, Filigree Corner - Wild Orchid Crafts
Frantage - Live & Love Crafts

I really hope you can join us in our Challenge this time and look forward to seeing your Anything Goes creations!

I would like to enter into the following:

Lacy Sunshine - Challenge #17 - Anything Goes!

Morning everyone! Hope you're all keeping well and still happily crafting!  My mojo is still being a little stubborn at the moment, but I did manage to colour up my first image in approximately 7 weeks!! I can't believe it's been that long since I entertained my copics and, yep, it did feel a little strange and rusty to begin with ......eeeek!

Over at Lacy Sunshine Challenge our theme for the next fortnight is
ANYTHING GOES
Woohoo! Don't you just love this theme!!  So, as long as your image is hand-coloured, the challenge is your oyster ;)

For this challenge my DTeamies and I have gone "Under the Sea" to showcase Heather's beautiful mermaids, which you can find in the Lacy Sunshine Store

Here's my little take on the beautiful Waverly Sea Kissed mermaid

Isn't she the most pretty little thing!

As you can see, this little beauty has an array of colours so I'll save you the details of my long list of Copics used :)  The ingredients for the rest of my card are as follows:

'Promises' backing paper - Lili of the Valley
Self Adhesive Pearl Flourish and little blue rose - The Hobby House
Remaining flowers, spiral stems, flat back pearls - Wild Orchid Crafts
Shells, raffia and teeny bottle are all from The Range

Hobby House - Topper Inspiration

Good Morning Everyone!  Today I would like to wish my beautiful eldest daughter and son-in-law a fabulous Happy Anniversary and my gorgeous little boy a fantastic 1st day back to school as a Junior ....

Today is my turn for a little inspiration over at The Hobby House and, as our HH Challenge this month is to use HH Artists' images on your creations, I have created my little trinket box using a beautiful Elizabeth Bell - Summertime topper.

I completely frantaged a few doilies, cutting and shaping them so that they'd fit around the oval shape on the lid and at the bottom.  I used the gorgeous Antebellum papers from  LOTV and cheesecloth to layer over the doilies.  I then die-cut the topper, inked over it and distressed the edges - adding a teeny bit of frantage for the butterfly trail.  Yep, my little die cut butterfly has also been frantaged :)

The beautiful pearl edging trim, flowers and adhesive pearl flourish can all be found at The Hobby House store, along with many beautiful toppers/stamps.

Well, I hope you like my little bit of inspiration for you today and don't forget .... our Challenge runs until 27 September so you have plenty of time still to get your entries in to win that fabulous £25 HH voucher.

Big hugs to you all xx

CCC joins CCC

Good Morning to you all and a very Happy Monday it is too!

Today I get to share some very exciting news - I have been chosen to become a DT member for the fabulous CREATIVE CREATIONS CHALLENGES!  Woohooooo!!   Thanks so much for having me, girls, and I hope I do you proud :)

This is a bi-weekly challenge split into two teams.  It's Team A's turn today and our fantastic sponsor is, no other than,
Floppy Lattes Digital Designs
who are offering a $6 voucher to our Winner

Floppy Lattes Digital Designs ::All Digital All The Time

The theme for the next fortnight is EARLY CHRISTMAS and we can't wait to see what you create!

For my card today I was given some fabulous Digital Papers and a beautiful Christmas Sentiment to play with and here's what I came up with ...
I do love a bit of bling and did actually get a bit carried away with it here lol.  I used my spellbinders shaped circle die for the sentiment and I layered Marianne Designs snowflake dies to add some dimension.  The gorgeous pearl string, rhinestone flourish and snowflake charm can all be found at The Hobby House and the beautiful flat backed rhinestones used for the centre of each snowflake are from WOC.  The adhesive gems around the sentiment are from my stash as is the ribbon used to make my little bow, which I coloured up to match the papers :)

Well, that's about all from me for now but I do hope you'll head on over to the Challenge, take a peek at my new DTeamies' fab creations and post your very own makes whilst you're there!

Ta Ta for now and see you all again soon!
Big hugs xx

Challenge 4 - Hobby House Artists

A huge, massive HELLO to everyone!! Hope you've all been keeping well and happy!  I apologise for me going AWOL these past few weeks but, with lots of changes going on in my life at present, crafting had to take a back seat.  However, I'm slowly getting back into it all and ready to roll again!  The only thing missing at the moment now is my colouring mojo!!! It is still MIA, but I'm sure it will return soon .... I hope!! :)

Today is the start of our 4th Challenge at The Hobby House and our theme for this month is all about the
HH Artists.
We'd like to see your creations using a topper or rubber stamp from any of our fabulous artists:
Mo Manning, Elizabeth Bell, Sylvia Zet, Kenny K

The prize for our winner is a mahoosive £25 to spend at The Hobby House Store.
(Postage paid by winner)

For my card today I used an adorable topper by Elizabeth Bell called Summertime - and here she is

Isn't she a little darling!
I inked over the topper to give it a cream background and distressed the edges.  The beautiful background papers are called Antebellum from LOTV and I chose them as my winning prize for a recent challenge :)  They are so fabulous to work with .... I distressed and inked the edges and added cheesecloth in between layers.  I die-cut Marianne Designs butterflies from the same paper and then frantaged them all.
